Leonardo Da Vinci Project - Is Complete
LEONARDO DA VINCI PROJECT – IS COMPLETE
The Painting and Decorating Association has been involved in the Leonardo Da Vinci project over the last two years and the final meeting took place on the 21st September 2009 in Milan Italy and was hosted by the Italian Painting Association Anvides.
We can now confirm that the original aims of the project have been achieved.
· A comparison of European qualifications, competency statements and learning outcomes for painters in the commercial environment.
· An On-line tool that will provide valuable information for:
1. Painting contractors to identify the real skills of job applicants from abroad.
2. Painters can compare their own qualifications and training with that of the requirements of the European job markets. It also highlights countries where training is carried out on additional competencies to that of the host country.
We would like to thank all those individuals and companies who have contributed to this project over the past two years.
